Hand pinned Saint Charbel Rosary with Handmade centerpiece features the image taken of Charbel over 50 years after his passing. Youssef Antoun Makhlouf was a Marionite monk from Modern Day Lebanon May 8, 1828 - December 24, 1898. He chose the name of a second century Antioch Martyr. Ordained a priest on July 23, 1859, and entered the hermitage on February 15, 1875.
The image in the centerpiece was taken on May 8, 1950, which was Charbels 122nd birthday when a group of Marionite priests went on pilgrimage to Charbel's grave. They posed for an photo outside the monastery wall. When the film was developed, there was another figure in the photo. The priest went to visit the older Marionites in Lebanon to ask who the person in the image was. They confirmed it to be Charbel. Charbel was also found to be incorrupt and shortly after his burial lights glowed from his grave. When he was exhumed, his body was verified to be pliable as though newly passed with no signed of corruption and many miracles occured at the time of his exhumation.
Saint Charbel was a humble priest who was dedicated to Mary. Miraculous events for those who request his intervention on their behalf continue to this day. This Rosary is made of 8mm white jade with bronze tone double bead caps on each of the Hail May Beads to honor his purity. The 3/8" x 1/4" Miraculous medal Our Father beads are surrounded by 1/8" Bronze tones spacer beads and commemorate his devotion to Mary from his childhood as a young Shepard who created a shrine to her while caring for his flock until his death. The Crucifix is a 2 3/16" x 1 3/8" three-way indulgence Crucifix.
This beautiful Rosary will be accompanied by a saint Charbel Prayer card and a Miraculous Medal prayer card. The Rosary will be packaged in our signature black velvet lined box.
