Laminated prayer card and medal gift set of Maximilian Kolbe the patron saint of overcoming addictions. Kolbe is pictured wearing his Franciscan robe with the Auschwitz prisoner's uniform over his shoulder. He died in Auschwitz after offering to die in place of another man who had a family. That man later attended Kolbe's Beatification and Canonization Ceremonies. Kolbe died on the Feast of the assumption of Mary August 14, 1941.
The back of the card is a heavy wight laminated card which has a beautiful prayer on the back requesting Kolbe's intervention and prayers for the addicted.
This lovely set comes packaged in a holographic mylar bag. The card measures 2 1/8" x 3 1/4". The Medal Measures 7/8" x 5/8". One full inch with hanger at the top of the medal. Medal is imported from Italy.
This makes a wonderful reminder of the protection and support available to us just for the asking. It will also make a beautiful gesture of support and an active way to cope with and intercede for those who are battling addiction and their family members.
